The Kangaroo is a pouches mammal of genus Macropus. It inhibits open woodland and dense bush in Australia. It has a small head, in comparison with its long body, has large ears and thick fur that is coarse, grey or reddish brown or black, and a long, strong tail which acts as its third leg. Its hind legs are large, exceptionally long and equipped with powerful muscles; on the other hand, its forelegs are remarkably short and are frequently called “arms”. Below its belly is a large pouch which opens forward and contains four mammals with only two functioning. The kangaroo’s young spends a considerable time in its mother’s pouch, mature at the age with is about two, and live for fifteen to twenty years. How enviable of a kangaroo mother to have her helpless your always close to her! Some animal lovers find it unacceptable to kill kangaroos for their flesh and pelts. Indeed, it seems heartless and cruel. It isn’t surprising that a considerable export of skins is chiefly to the United States, and also of meat, chiefly to Japan, West Germany, Hongkong, and Malaysia. It is, however, understandable that man considers it his precognitive to kill the lesser creatures of Nature for his own needs and comfort.
